Who we are

We are dedicated to alleviating extreme poverty, bringing hope to individual hearts, and providing opportunities to disadvantaged children and youth.

We believe in empowering children with skills and education to create a better life for themselves and for their families and communities. Improving their world and the world around them – a ripple effect, and it can start with us.

Sravanti Challa

I am a South African woman of Indian origin. I am an actuary by profession. I was born in Zimbabwe and grew up in Durban, South Africa,  and also lived in Luxembourg in my 20s, prior to Zug, Switzerland where I currently reside with my husband.

Give the World is my passion and I also serve on the board of another non-profit, ITAI (Investment through Action Initiative), focused primarily on Zimbabwe.

Growing up, I was no stranger to poverty and struggle around me and in my communities. I consider myself lucky, that I had parents who believed in me, invested in me and had the means to afford me the education I needed to fulfill my dreams and ensure a bright future for myself. But the reality remains that so many children in the world through no fault of their own, don’t get that chance and support at the right time, and don’t have the same options I had, and creating those options is something I’m really passionate about.

My wish is to support education and food security for children in need. I believe an educated, empowered and independent young person is good for everyone; for themselves and for their world, and that access still isn’t there, or not nearly enough.

One can’t make good choices if they don’t have good options, and my wish is that we create that world for children now and the generations to come, and together we can do that. We should be finding ways to help each other more, because even though we can’t change the world all at once, we can help one person now. Your giving can change one person’s world now

I am a firm believer that compassion and selflessness are key to making the world a better place.

I grew up in France and I am a Swiss-French National. I studied economics and work as a relationship manager for institutional clients in the asset management field. In my role I am closely involved in the implementation of ESG, which I’m really passionate about.

With Give the World I have the opportunity to help people who are in need. I believe if we want a peaceful future, we need to see the world as one, and give everyone the same opportunities.

I was lucky enough to travel parts of the world like India, South Africa, China, and others, which taught me that we are all just human beings with the same dreams.

Why Give the World?

We see so much advancement in our world. The human mind has invented, created and built an incredible world yet there are still children living without access to school, clean water, protection, medical care, and even food.

When we endanger our children, we endanger our future, our world. Being human is a given but keeping our humanity is a choice.

So let’s choose humanity – let’s choose to act now, and ensure a better world for children now and the generations to come.

Our wish for children is freedom. The freedom to think, the freedom to live. Empowering children with skills and education creates a better life for them and for their families and communities.. It’s a ripple effect and it can start with us. Opportunity is not fairly distributed but if each one of us chooses to act now and give to the world, we will build a world where no child is left behind.

Partners

We understand the importance of trust and work toward complete transparency to our donors as well as from our partner organisations. We work with existing small grass roots organisations already doing impactful work and we strive to have very low to almost no running costs as an organisation so that almost 100% of funds raised from our donors can be given directly to where they are needed and can allow for the greatest possible impact.
