OUR WORK
Access to Education
Through our partnership with ITAI (Investment Through Action Initiative) we help underprivileged children in Zimbabwe access quality education and have fulfilling schooling experiences.
We support children’s education, identifying children in need as early on in their education as possible, providing long-term support, including covering tuition fees, and providing stationery packs, uniforms and food hampers for their families.
We also support ITAI’s work to raise awareness of the importance of quality education and highlight the challenges schools and children in Zimbabwe are facing, particularly in light of the economic instability in the country.
CHF15 a month covers a child’s tuition fees and a food hamper for the child and their family.
Empowering Young Women
Together with The Imbumba Foundation’s Caring4Girls Programme, we work to address the high rate of school absenteeism amongst young girls (up to 50 days of school per year) due to the lack of access to adequate menstrual hygiene products.
The programme was founded in response to the harsh reality that this issue causes millions of girls in South Africa to miss a significant number of school days and others to drop out completely.
The programme additionally provides reproductive health education and aims to empower young girls and foster their confidence, health and safety, and continued education.
For as little as CHF25 you can help keep one girl in school for a whole year.
